Florida Spinal Cord Injury Resource Center

Welcome to the Florida Spinal Cord Injury Resource Center Website

The Florida Department of Health/Brain and Spinal Cord Injury Program (BSCIP) has taken over the administration and operation of the Florida Spinal Cord Injury Resource Center (FSCIRC) effective July 1, 2010. The BSCIP has retained the former staff members to perform the daily duties and responsibilities associated with the resource center. The resource center staff are currently located in the BSCIP region 3 office located in St. Petersburg, Florida.

The BSCIP remains committed to ensuring that all newly injured individuals with spinal cord injuries, their family members, caregivers, advocates and professionals are able to obtain needed resources on all aspects of traumatic spinal cord injuries in a timely and professional manner. The FSCIRC will also be responsible for the operation of the Peer Mentoring Program and conducting the BSCIP satisfaction surveys and one year post follow-up surveys of individuals reintegrated into the community. We believe that the BSCIP has the experience, expertise and the resources needed to further develop and expand the services and supports needed to serve this population. The Florida Department of Health, the BSCIP and the Florida Spinal Cord Injury Resource Center are excited about the future potential of this program. We look forward to working with you and would appreciate your suggestions as we re-create and improve this resource to best serve all people living with a spinal cord injury.
